Húsavík

Húsavík is the place where the first brief settlers, Garðar Svavarsson and Náttfari, set foot on the Island around the year 870. It is a charming town with a beautiful seafront that faces a spectacular mountain range and offers all necessary services and a variety of amenities.

Located alongside the whale-rich Skjálfandi Bay, Húsavík became particularly famous for whale watching with a high sightings rate in a stunning natural environment. But there is more to explore:
